Peer Review System
Software
Home
Introduction:
Increasingly, experimental studies are being subjected to peer review
procedures. In response, P N Lee have developed a peer review system
that can work alongside your existing system. The ROELEE Peer Review system will
accept data from many existing systems, Pathdata, Xybion etc, thus giving the
opportunity to carry out peer reviews whilst retaining your current system and
working environment.
Available for Windows 9x, NT, 2000 & XP with other platforms supported if
required.
System features:
- Compatibility: Whilst the Peer
Review module was initially designed as part of the main ROELEE system, it is
also available as a standalone application compatible with many existing
systems such as PATHDATA, XYBION, PLACES etc. This allows ROELEE Peer
Review to run along side your existing system and gives you the opportunity
to carry out reviews on existing studies Many data import interfaces are
available and custom interfaces can be developed as required to suit your
system
- Security: Both the original pathologist and peer reviewer have
individual passwords which allow access to different functions
within the system.
- Multiple review selection: In any one study, multiple reviews
can be set up based on selected animals, tissues and findings.
- Individually selected animals
- Selected groups of animals
- All tissues
- All tumours
- Tumours and hyperplasia
- Specified tissues
- Specified findings
- Peer review data entry: Easy selection from animal finding lists
showing original and peer review findings together with their
current review status. Simple entry of agreements, disagreements,
new findings and comments. Changes to specific aspects of a
finding by selecting from lists of existing tissues, findings,
grades and tumour types using the unique peer review data entry
display. Entry of special requests such as recuts.
- Peer review resolution: Clear display and selection of review
disagreements and new findings for the chosen animal. Resolution of peer
review findings by either Agreement, Rejection or Substitution. An audit trail records rejected peer review findings, which
can then be included in study reports if required.
- Reports and summaries: Comprehensive reporting including:-
- Full reports of all findings
- Specific reports on peer review disagreements
- Summary tables comparing incidence of original and peer
review findings
- Audit trail and recut reports
- Analysis: The
reviewed study data can be exported to the main ROELEE system for statistical
analysis.
